A study on physical growth of Island school children.

Abstract
|
|
|
Physical growth measurement was performed upon 11, 317 (Male 5, 686, Female 5,631) school children in islands, Shin An Gun, Cholla Nam Do, during three year period from 1965 to 1967.
The results observed were summarized as follows:
1. Concerning with growth of Height and weight, island school children were underdeveloped comparing with that of general Korean children´s standard in both sexes.
2. On the other hand, in chest girth, female island school children was over developed than that of general female. Korean standard, whereas male in island was not developed as good as general Korean male children.
